Landmarks

The 6-story building, formerly the home of the Mechanical Cotton Spinning and Weaving Works, was constructed in 1910 under the direction of the Stuttgart industrial architect Philipp Jakob Manz. After the works closed, the building was restored in 1988 as an industrial monument. Today the Glass Palace is a meeting point for lovers of modern and contemporary art: it houses the H2-Center for Contemporary Art that is a part of the Municipal Art Collections and Augsburg art collector and developer Ignaz Walter’s private museum with gallery.
